2 WV high schools top ranks
Two West Virginia high schools are being recognized as two of the best 500 in the nation. Newsweek’s 2016 rankings of “America’s Top High Schools” has Winfield High School in Winfield 292nd on the list, while George Washington High School in Charleston ranked 411th. The magazine used several metrics in determining its rankings, including college readiness, graduation rates and the percent of college-bound students. The top school is Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia.
