Sobriety Checkpoint Planned for Wednesday

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is planning another high visibility sobriety checkpoint this week, as part of a regular effort to crack down on drunk and impaired drivers. The Governor’s Highway Safety Program teams up with the Sheriff’s Office to conduct the checkpoint Wednesday evening from 7 to midnight on WV Rt. 25 near Institute. More “zero tolerance” checkpoints and targeted patrols are planned throughout the year.
