PSC Increases Brake Inspections

The Public Service Commission continues its efforts to keep the roads safe. Transportation Enforcement Officers with the PSC are honing in on brakes, during Brake Safety Week which runs through Saturday. That means brake system inspections on trucks and buses, watching for out-of-adjustment brakes and brake-system violations. Last year, 42 vehicles were taken out of service for brake-related violations, and another 33 for other violations. The weigh station on Interstate 79 in Fairmont will be manned for double shifts through Saturday.
