Gov. Tomblin to Mark the 9-11 Anniversary Today
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin will commemorate the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks today. Tomblin plans to join first responders this morning at the West Virginia Fallen Firefighter Memorial on the state Capitol grounds in Charleston for a moment of silence and then a wreath laying and bell ringing ceremony. Nearly 3,000 people died 14 years ago Friday when hijacked jets crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
