Crossings Mall

A resolution appears to be getting close for bankruptcy proceedings for the Crossings Mall. The Kanawha County mall was shut down due to flooding issues in the area since last June’s storms and a new bridge heading to the location needs to be built. Hundreds of employees have been out of work as the mall owner tries to put the place back into business. A hearing was held yesterday on the case. County Commissioner Kent Carper said afterwards he expects the process to move along quickly from here on out.
