Coal Miner

A coal mine fatality is being investigated in West Virginia. The West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health Safety & Training said Friday Dennis Fillinger of Harts passed away after being injured in late February in Mingo County. The 62-year-old was hit by a rock after a section of roof fell out at the CK Coal No. 5 mine near Williamson. Governor Justice and the state’s First Lady said they are deeply saddened and extend their sympathies.
