Coal Miners

Senator Manchin says he is making one final push to help retired coal miners continue to receive benefits. The Miners Protection Act is due to expire in just a few weeks and nearly 23-thousand retired miners will lose their healthcare benefits unless action is taken. Manchin asked over the weekend for those who will be impacted by the changes to send him their stories. The Democrat tweeted that he is fighting to pass the act and wants retired miners to email him at miners@manchin.senate.gov.
