Charleston Woman Sentenced on Animal Cruelty Charge

A Charleston woman enters a guilty plea to animal cruetly charges. Workers found 22 animals dead in her home along Beech Avenue in July, and humane officers said in the criminal complaint the animals died because food, water, and medical treatment were withheld. Mary Vores pleaded guilty this week, and will face a fine and cannot possess an animal for five years.
