Mining Fatality

Another West Virginia mining death is being investigated. Luches Rosser was killed late last week while running an electric locomotive underground at Pinnacle Mine in Wyoming County. He operated a shuttle car and died late Thursday night. A moment of silence was observed by lawmakers in Charleston to honor the 44-year-old’s life. The circumstances surrounding the state’s fourth mining death of the year are still being investigated.
