ARC Funding
The Appalachian Regional Commission has announced nearly $16 million in funding to help economies in seven states that have been hit hard by the loss of coal jobs. The commission announced funding for 18 projects in Alabama, Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and West Virginia that would create or retain more than 1,700 jobs. ARC has invested more than $92 million over the past year in 250 counties in 11 states.
