Justice & Coal Industry
Governor Justice is asking the federal government for billions of dollars to help revive the coal industry. Justice has met with President Trump and said Friday his proposal calls for four-and-a-half-billion-dollars annually in federal funding to power companies that burn steam coal mined in Northern and Central Appalachia. He says the plan will put tens of thousands of coal miners back to work and also provide national security and the stabilization of the Eastern Seaboard’s power grid.
