Charleston Medical Center Cutting Jobs

Charleston Area Medical Center is cutting dozens of jobs in the near future. The financially troubled hospital already announced plans to eliminate positions but said 40 physician assistants and nurse practitioners will be laid off by early November. CAMC said over the summer 300 full time positions would be sliced by the end of the year. It was heading toward a loss of over 40-million-dollars by the end of the year.
