State’s Zip Codes

A study by a bipartisan public policy group says more than one-third of the state’s zip codes are considered economically distressed. Only Alabama and Mississippi have more distressed zip codes according to the Economic Innovation Group’s 2017 Distressed Communities Index. In Vermont, less than one-percent of the zip codes are considered distressed.
