Thousands Expected for Bridge Day

Thousands of people will flock to Fayette County this weekend for the annual Bridge Day event. Hundreds of BASE jumpers are expected to take flight from the New River Gorge Bridge and WCHS TV reports an estimated 80,000 spectators are expected Saturday. Traffic on the bridge will be shut down from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day, and the bridge will be the launch point for jumpers for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
