U of I plans innovation center in the Loop

The University of Illinois is planning to build a new innovation center in the South Loop. The proposed Discovery Partners Institute would be along the Chicago River, just south of Roosevelt Road. The center would allow faculty and students from several universities to work with industry to produce new products and companies.
