Fighting the opioid epidemic

Three West Virginia cities, Charleston, Huntington and Kenova, filed a class action lawsuit against the Joint Commission, the nation’s largest health care accreditation agency, claiming the group was part of a misinformation campaign that downplayed the dangers of prescription painkillers. They’re asking for additional resources to fight the opioid epidemic.
