Ethics Commission to Offer Training for Lobbyists

The West Virginia Ethics Commission is offering a training session for lobbyists. The one-hour course on provisions of the Ethics Act relevant to lobbyists is being held Thursday at the commission’s office in Charleston. First-time lobbyists in West Virginia who have not attended lobbyist training must complete this training within 90 days of the date on which they registered to lobby. All lobbyists registered in West Virginia must complete one training course during the Jan. 1, 2015 to Dec. 31, 2016, lobbyist registration cycle.
