WVU raising HIV & Hepatitis C awareness

WVU’s Department of Emergency Medicine has received a grant to fund a hepatitis-C and HIV awareness program. The over million-dollar grant will fund a 4-year program to raise awareness of the two diseases. The numbers of patients infected with HIV, but are unaware of it, is nearly 20-percent, and that number is four times greater for hepatitis C.
