Solid Waste Authority Gets New Equipment to Help with Recycling

The Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority is buying a new truck that’s expected to reduce recycling costs in the long run. At a meeting this week, the solid waste authority voted to accept a bid for the new truck from West Virginia Tractor Company. The roll-off truck will allow Kanawha County to haul large metal bins to a Nitro recycling plant, and could save $2000 a month in expenses.
