Shots Fired in Institute

An incident Wednesday led to shots fired in the Institute area in the 100 block of Washington Avenue, and Sgt B-D Humphreys with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said a blue Chrysler 300 was seen speeding away. Others were seen running. A caller said someone in an apartment had been shot, but no one was inside and deputies couldn’t find anyone injured. Bullets did hit the outside of the building.
