WV leads the nation in drug deaths

West Virginia still leads the nation in drug-related deaths. Center for Disease Control numbers show the overdose death rate in the state hit 52 per 100-thousand last year, the highest in the country. The deadliest drug, synthetic opioids like fentanyl, linked to nearly 20-thousand deaths last year nationwide.
