Two officers shot in Roane County

Two officers are recovering from gunshots this morning. A Highway Patrol Trooper and a Roane County Deputy were responding to a domestic violence call last night at a home on Red Oak Drive, south of Gandeeville. When they approached the front door, Gordon Hoskins, Jr., opened fire. Both officers suffered non-life threatening injuries. Hoskins barricaded himself inside the house. He was arrested shortly after midnight and is charged with attempted murder.
