Enrollment Up at Marshall University
Marshall University’s enrollment is up 2.7 percent this fall. The Herald-Dispatch reports that the Marshall Board of Governors got the fall enrollment report this week and it’s an increase of 257 students bringing total enrollment to 13,334. Michael McGuffey, senior vice president of institutional research and planning, also reported that the university’s student retention rate is 78 percent. He said that’s a 4.5 percent increase over the past two years.
