Marshall Student’s Services Scheduled for Saturday

The funeral is coming up this weekend for a Marshall University student killed this week on icy roads. The winter storm shut Marshall University down Wednesday, and that was the same day 20-year old Bridgett Sacks lost control of her car on Interstate 64, hit a guardrail, then slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer. In a statement from the university, Marshall Professor Terry Hapney called Sacks “one heck of a writer, with such a wonderful spirit.” Sacks’ funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Rayes Funeral Home in Eleanor.
