Wild Horses Rounded up in Boone County
Wild horses have a new home. There were several calls to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend about the feral horses, and it took a team of about 30 volunteers from Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the West Virginia Department of Agriculture to round them up. Five of the horses will be trained and were offered new homes by the Adam Black Horsemanship. Three will go to the Smoke Rise Ranch, and a colt will join the Heart of Pheonix and eventually be adopted out.
