Board Member Selected to Replace Pete Thaw

Kanawha County school board members have named a replacement to fill the remainder of Pete Thaw’s term. The board voted to appoint Betty C. Spencer to the post. She will serve the remainder of Thaw’s term, ending June 30. Thaw died Dec. 28th, and had served on the board for 19 years.
