West Virginia teachers vote for a strike
West Virginia teachers voted overwhelmingly for a strike, according to a union spokesperson. Union leaders from across the state met in Flatwoods to report their strike authorization vote results. Teachers say they won’t strike yet, and will continue to work with lawmakers, but are likely to stage more walkouts and rallies. Saturday afternoon dozens of teachers took to the streets. They held up signs and stood in the median near the Southridge Shops.
