Lincoln County man accused of hitting officers

A Lincoln County man is accused of striking two officers who were trying to arrest him Tuesday night in Tornado. Police responded to a drive-by shooting, and pulled over a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Coal River and West Main Street. The passenger, Blake Rutledge, resisted arrested and tried to reach for a gun. He was taken into custody. A deputy and St. Albans officer were injured in the struggle. Rutledge is facing multiple charges.
