Homeless woman accused of smash and grab

A homeless woman is facing charges for smashing windows and breaking into cars. A car alarm led police to Melinda Nelson early yesterday morning. Officers found her next to a car with a broken window. She had a hammer, flashlight, and several credit cards that didn’t belong to her. Nelson will face additional charges for lying about her identity.
