Husband strangles wife with a phone cord, shoots himself

A woman is in critical condition after her husband choked her with a phone cord and then shot and killed himself. Seventy-five-year-old Jack Hootman died Monday morning at Silas-Kanawha Two Mile Road. His wife, 75-year-old Patty Hootman is in critical condition at a local hospital.
