Winfield Annexation Hearing Likely This Summer

The battle against annexation in Winfield continues. In August of 2015 Putnam County Commission denied Winfield’s request to take in more than 200 acres along Routes 34 and 817. They appealed to Putnam County Circuit Court. WCHS TV reports the process starts over with county commission having to make another ruling on annexation. A public hearing on annexation is expected to take place sometime this summer.
