Striking a deal on sports betting

Governor Jim Justice announced a tentative deal between the state Lottery commission and casinos and major league sports teams that will enhance sports betting in West Virginia. They’ve been at odds over an “integrity fee,” essentially a tax on all bets that casinos would have to pay to the pro sports leagues. Casino operators say the details are still being worked out.
