Lawmaker Pushes to Speed Up School Construction
The West Virginia Speaker of the House is concerned about the process of rebuilding schools after the June 2016 floods. Tim Armstead sent a letter to FEMA, the State Superintendent of Schools, and several others about the timeline for construction of Clendenin-Bridge Elementary and Herbert Hoover High School. Armstead wants to expedite the construction and wants lawmakers to help remove anything that might be standing in the way. The projected completion date for the schools is Fall 2021.
