Upper Big Branch mine monument destroyed

Officials are investigating the destruction of a monument honoring one of the victims of the Upper Big Branch mine explosion. A black granite bench, honoring Adam Morgan, was destroyed in Palisades Park. Each of the 29 victims has a memorial at the park, but none of the other memorials were damaged. A reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible.
