Supreme Court Director Resigns
The West Virginia Supreme Court announced Friday that Gary Johnson, the court’s administrative director, will resign effective June 30. Johnson did not give a specific reason for his resignation, but said he looks forward to exploring other opportunities for public service. The Supreme Court said Barbara Allen, who served as the court administrative director from 2001 to 2002, has been hired as the interim director while the Supreme Court conducts a search for a permanent director. Johnson was a circuit judge in Nicholas County from 1992 until December 2017.
