Senator Manchin performs heimlich maneuver on fellow Senator

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin saved a fellow lawmakers life. Manchin performed the Heimlich maneuver on Senator Claire McCaskill when she started choking during a luncheon on Thursday. Manchin managed to dislodge the blockage in McCaskill’s throat, but cracked one of her ribs in the process. McCaskill is doing okay, but she says she won’t be hugging anyone soon.
