Two cooling stations open today

A heat advisory is in effect again today, and for those who need to escape the heat, two cooling centers will be open. The cooling centers are located at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Sissonville Drive and at the Tyler Mountain volunteer Fire Department. The centers will be open from noon to 9 p.m. An excessive heat advisory is in effect today with the heat index expected to reach 105 degrees.
