Mother admits spraying bleach in baby’s face

A Parkersburg mother admits spraying bleach in her 16-month-old son’s face. Twenty-seven-year-old Sylvia Eden is charged with child abuse. Medical staff from Nationwide Children’s Hospital contacted police when the boy came into the emergency room with chemical burns on his face, back and shoulder. Eden initially told police the toddler’s 4-year-old sibling sprayed bleach in the baby’s face, but later admitted she did it. Both children are being cared for by other family members.
