Blankenship’s application denied

The West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office has officially blocked Republican Don Blankenship from running as a member of the Constitution Party in the U.S. Senate race in November. Secretary of State Mac Warner did not approve Blankenship’s application because it violates the state’s “sore loser” law.” Blankenship says he didn’t expect his paperwork and be certified, and he will “vigorously challenge” the denial in court.
