High price tag for the Roads to Prosperity project

The Roads to Prosperity highway project will cost more than anticipated. The bids for the first major project have come in well above estimates. The seven mile, 22 bridge, project on I-70 was estimated to cost over 170-million-dollars. The lowest bid was over 275-million-dollars, and the highest bid was nearly 350-million-dollars.
