Surprise plea deal in cold case

A man dubbed one of Charleston’s most dangerous criminals made a surprise plea deal Monday in a cold case murder. Andre Williamson plead guilty to manslaughter in the 2005 shooting death of Jody Gray. He also pleaded guilty to a separate drug charge. Williamson was set to stand trial for more recent crimes, but made the deal as the jury was being selected. He faces up to 30-years in prison.
