New Winfield Boat Ramp is Under Construction

Boaters will have a new way to get into the Kanawha River in the coming months. A new $1.6 million boat ramp is under construction now in Winfield, on land next to the Winfield Bridge. The Gazette-Mail reports two houses had to be knocked down in the process, and 4-acres have been cleared, and when the ramp is finished, boaters will be able to launch two boats at the same time and have a 50-space parking lot in which to park their vehicles. Construction is just now getting underway.
