Man arrested for chasing student on Marshall University campus

Marshall Police arrested a registered sex offender who’s accused of following and chasing a female student on the Marshall University campus. Forty-year-old Michael Hankins followed a woman down Maple Avenue in his car. Then he parked the car and chased her on foot. The student ran until she was safely inside her residence hall, and at the point Hankins walked back to his car. Hankins is charged with trespassing.
