Loughry Trial Begins Today

The trial begins today for suspended West Virginia Supreme Court justice Allen Loughry, who faces 25 criminal charges that accuse him of mail and wire fraud, witness tampering and making false statements to the FBI. Today’s trial is in U.S. District Court in Charleston. In the West Virginia Senate, Loughry’s impeachment trial begins Nov. 12. He also is accused by a judicial panel of violating the Code of Judicial Conduct.
