Gov. proposing pay raises and a fix for PEIA

Governor Jim Justice is proposing pay raises for teachers and state workers, and the Governor says he has a permanent fix to the Public Employees Insurance Agency. Justice wants to put 100-million-dollars toward PEIA and will propose an additional five-percent pay raise for teachers and state workers in next year’s legislative session. On Monday, Justice announced a first-quarter surplus of nearly 120-million-dollars.
