WV Supreme Court blocks Workman’s impeachment trial

The West Virginia Supreme Court is blocking the impeachment trial of Supreme Court Justice Margaret Workman. The court ruled that the three articles of impeachment against Workman violate the separation of powers doctrine and the Senate does not have jurisdiction over the alleged violations. The judge in the impeachment trail says he will obey the court order that prohibits the Senate from proceeding. The Senate plans to appeal.
