Big jackpots increase lottery revenue

October was a big month for lottery jackpots, which means great revenue numbers for the state. In a two week period when the Powerball hit 750-million dollars, and the Mega Millions was nearly two-billion dollars, the state sold more than 11-million dollars just in on-line tickets. For the month of October, the state topped 100-million dollars in sales.
