New EMS Station Opens in Jackson County

Jackson County has a new EMS facility that just opened up in the southern part of the county. The brand new EMS building opened next to the Greene Center on Charleston Rd. in Kenna, and they held a ribbon cutting Friday afternoon. The goal with the expansion is to cover the county more efficiently and increase the response area. The renovation cost about a million dollars and took a little under a year. The new EMS facility will have two ambulances, and a crew working 24 hours. They will start responding to calls this week.
