Seventeen Apply for Supreme Court Vacancy
Interviews are coming up next week for those that have applied for a seat on the West Virginia Supreme Court bench. Seventeen people have applied for one opening, including Kanawha Circuit Judge Joanna Tabit, former Greenbrier circuit judge Jim Rowe, and Kanawha Family Court Judge James Douglas. The vacancy came after the resignation of Justice Allen Loughry as he awaits sentencing after being convicted on 11 federal charges. A committee will interview the candidates next Tuesday Dec. 11.
