Airlines Issue Travel Waivers to Change Flights
With heavy snowfall predicted by the weekend from the Appalachians to Philadelphia and maybe farther north, people throughout the region readied themselves for blocked roads, power outages and canceled flights. The National Weather Service says 12 to 16 inches of snow could come down between Friday night and Sunday morning in spots, and West Virginia is under a Winter Storm Watch today and tomorrow. All major airlines have issued waivers for travel over the weekend, allowing passengers to rebook onto earlier or later flights to avoid the storms.
